Hair by

Candace Marie

Client: Candace Marie, Hairdresser

Inspiration: Candace wanted her logo to have her portrait in it, and with a general circle shape to it to reference back to her previous logo. Her clientele is eccentric, bold people and she specializes in undercuts and bold haircolours, so I drew inspiration from various tattoo styles (woodcut/linocut primarily) to really make a bold design. I left her hair transparent so that her clients and their kids could colour in the hair any shade they want.

Jenna Justine

Client: Jenna Justine, Blogger

Inspiration: Jenna wanted to create a blog which focused on featuring local businesses, primarily coffee shops. I decided to create a simple latte-art logo to tie in with the coffee theme. The colour scheme is meant to look like the creamy cafe-au-lait colour and the handwritten portion contrasts in a navy pen-ink colour..

Celtica

Client: Celtica, Highland Dance Studio

Inspiration: This design was for a t-shirt. Celtica wanted a logo with a spin on the classic Celtic knot, to call back to the heritage of Celtic dance while also standing out from other similar studios. I went with this soft, flower-like design for the knot and I paired it with this rounded serif to give it an approachable look. I chose a dark royal purple as a callback to the brand's original colours.
